Wins Best Digital Media Plan of the Year at sfBIG Awards
(SAN FRANCISCO, July 8, 2010)--SF based media
agency Mediasmith took home Best Digital Media Plan of the Year at the sfBIG
2010 BIG Star Awards on June 24th for its Haiti Earthquake Relief
campaign for World Vision. The San Francisco Bay Interactive Group (sfBIG) held
its first ever BIG Star Awards, recognizing the best among local agencies, ad
campaigns, and industry leaders. Mediasmith's campaign for World Vision ranked
top among other campaigns including finalists Mediasmith's SEGA Iron Man 2
campaign and Universal McCann's Bing campaign.

Vision group to win for the Haiti campaign where they literally worked 24/7 to
help raise tens of millions of dollars in less than a month."
On January 12, when Haiti was devastated by the 7.0
earthquake centered at Port de Paix, Mediasmith was tasked with raising funds
for the disaster relief. In less than an hour, the search campaign was live,
followed by display in less than a day, rapidly deploying a unified campaign to
reach prospective donors. World Vision's already in-place local Haiti field
teams and tremendous traffic driven to the World Vision site eclipsed other
charities in the same time period.
Other sfBIG BIG Star awards were given for top
creative, media, mobile, social, and local agency campaigns, along with the
next "BIG" stars and a lifetime achievement award given to John Durham. For the

In just the first 180 days since the earthquake,
World Vision has distributed food to more than 1.6 million people, implemented
water and sanitation activities in 35 camps and much more.
